Knob help?

Anyone know where to locate speed knobs like these with the little rubber ring on them? Not available thru Allparts, WD or Stew-Mac.

Forum member Taller gave me 3 old Ibanez Iceman knobs, which had the rubber ring around it. If you removed the rubber ring then put it on the PRS knob it fit fine. Unfortunately one of mine has since broken and I'd like to get a few more to put on all my guitars.

I was thinking on looking for some sort of rubber "belt" from an electronics store or something.

I'm going to call Ibanez tomorrow and see if I can get some of these knobs. Last I heard they were still available from their parts dept.

I'll let you know the results tomorrow.

TimGreat Tim... while you're at it can you find out whether the rubber ring is removable so they could be put on gold knobs.

Also, will these knobs fit on a PRS?

They look like a great mod - I sometimes have to flip from position 1 to position 5 on my 5-way rotary in a hurry... I've never 'missed', but I ALWAYS think i do --lol-

I went to a Peavey dealer yesterday, the price is per knob (!). But that is the list price, they can be discounted of course. I ordered a couple, so when I get them I will see how they work...

The rubber gripped knobs are available from Ibanez....but only in gold...not in black. I ordered a dozen today just to keep some on hand....they sell for $4.50 each. It's the same knob that comes on the Ibanez Geroge Benson Model (GB-10).

I picked mine up from peavey for like two bucks but that's been 6 years ago....the peavey knobs have an indent at the top for the rubber gripper, but will stretch over a standard prs knob
