The price is a bit steep but I think they look pretty cool. Dunno whether I'd really want to keep my guitar around something that pointy. Seems like a ding waiting to happen.

Try to imagine this: being on a darkly lit stage and just running into the thing! He is gonna have to put a LOT of rubber on that thing just to keep it from being a hazard! Someone tripping over that thing could impale themselves. And $175.00 for a guitar stand?? It better be made of gold instead of just plain ordinary metal!

That wins the honor of being the DUMBEST thing I've seen all day. You're not going to buy a $175 guitar stand for a Samick.

"Hey, hold on while I set my prized ES-335 on this angular, jaggy, all-metal guitar stand.."

+1 for the "no thanks."

By the way, the guy from "sharp concepts" came back on harmony central and this is what he posted:

"Nevermind...Our Designs are FULLY padded, will not scratch guitars etc. etc. etc. Sorry to post here."

He also made another post trying to explain his companies actions:

"Yeah Ben, maybe your right. But I can say that we do sell to over 50 dealers and dist.'s ??..Whatever man. It sounds like you have a thing against us and this is our last post here.

One more thing..The weight is super light, WILL NOT scratch your guitars as they will be fully protected with coating and rubber, Price is higher because it's more of an Art thing (but some don't see it for that) and that's alright. Being different than everyone else is OK.

The right click thing is exactly as stated..just a minor thing to add because we have been robbed of all copyright pics in the past. I know how easy it is to take them from source code, but I did not mean to piss anyone off by doing so?....

Major artists have no problems with our work and neither do Dealers and most consumers of our work ..."

Here is my reply to his post:

"If you ARE really serious about selling these things, you MIGHT consider putting photos up of the stands with the PADDING attached!

What the hell did you think people would say, when you stick up photos of guitar stands that:

a: Have NO padding whatsoever- and then you come along and say that they are fully padded and protected- HOW is someone supposed to know that?

b. charge $175.00 (now the site says $145.00) for a guitar stand that looks like that with no padding anyone could see-(STILL an outragous price in my opinion) and even with padding, do you really think they are worth that much!?? Also, even with padding, they could still possibly hurt someone, if one fell over and someone fell directly on it.

c. lets not forget the stupid aggreement on your site which just made matters worse and made whoever designed the site look idiotic!

COME ON! People judged your photos by what they saw. If you wanted them to judge a finished product...then you should have PUT UP A PHOTO OF A FINISHED PRODUCT!

To me, your product not only is too expensive, but dangerous. Those are two points that need to be addressed."

IF this guy is really serious about this, he'd be doing good to find a way to cut the price and change the design to something not as dangerous IMHO.

Sharp Concepts indeed.

I'd be worried about a law suit from some little kid that ran around and tripped over it poking his eye out at the same time.

It's only fun until you get your eye poked out by a Klingon guitar stand

(...where have I heard that before? ;) )
