Hey everyone-
I've been bothering this forum for ages about my project for my lowly Santana SE. But now its virtually done so I just wanted to thank everyone for all the great advice.
I put in a set of Phase II tuners which drop in, you just use the original screw hole and there's enough overlap to hold the tuners in. Its unbelievable the sustain difference with these tuners vs. the original ones.
I put in a set of #10 splittable pickups (McCarty wiring) which i cashed in a favor to get. I just finished wiring last night and can't give a good tone report yet, but so far I'm really happy.
All of the electronic components have been replaced except for the switch since the switchcraft one I got won't fit the way the control cavity is routed, but the original switch was fine so its no big deal.
Will post a tone report this evening after a few more hours with it.
