Wondering if anyone has any experience with, or thoughts about http://www.workshoplive.com

The free tour looks impressive and I'm tempted to sign up for three months. Now to decide on the instructor and curricullum

FYI, this is owned by the National Guitar Workshop, which has a very succcessful program of weeklong retreats jammed (pun) with instruction. I know of this because I've sent my oldest son to their location in Connecticut for the last two summers.

Hey Izzy. I've been thinking about attending one of these workshops as a vacation for myself. Any feedback?

I didn't attend this myself, but my son, who's played for a few years, came back beaming. They had great instructors, as well as some guest players. I think that Metheny was a guest instructor/performer last summer.

It really is morning to night playing and learning - I'd send him again if he wanted to go.

I've been 4 times.
Best thing I ever did for guitar. More important than all the gear.
Besides being a great time & meeting / hearing a ton of great players, a week there can give you a huge jump start and a years worth of stuff to work on.
