Yea Pudge! Dude, that rocks. Great vibe, had my head bobbin' in time man. That is the sign in my book.
I dig how you hang on the groove in the verses. The solo is cooking; and it matters, not just blowin'. Great tones too - thumbs way up on this tune. Pumped to hear the rest of the songs for *sure* now.

Mighty fine indeed!!
Love Trex too!!! Excellent! :D Good drums too (good all round!), especially the lead into the solo, cool!

"Mary"...very cool song. I don't know if I would call the verse vocals rap but that would be the best way to describe it...(for me anyway) and I didn't expect it to break into a pop sensible chorus...very cool transition indeed. It sounds like M&M that can REALLY sing!
Where do you record...studio or in a home type setting?
The guitars sounded great!...composition and ofcourse talent! Is that the CU24 you mentioned you put the DiMarzio "Steve's Specials" in?
Man, that chorus is gonna be in my head all day...
Great song...that should be getting radio time!:dude:

Andrew that's great stuff man! Isn't this your CU24? Is the intro done on guitar? I love it! It sounds like a guitar at times and then other times it sounds like a keyboard loop(not a bad thing). The wah section right after the drum break and leading into your solo is killer. Love the solo too! I only have the ability to listen to this on run of the mill PC speakers, but one bit of feedback I would like to give is bumping up the main section of your solo in the mix (of course, I'm a guitarist!). Seriously, it sounded just slightly buried, just slighty. That may be what you were going for though, which is just as cool. As always, my two cents only.

For those interested:
The track was recorded entirely with my DiMarzio-equipped Custom 24. The amp was my Rivera Knucklehead II into my Avatar 2x12 cab. We close-mic'd the Celestion V-30 with an SM57 and combined the mic'd signal with a direct signal from the direct output jack of the KHII. All of the distorted rhythm tracks were doubled for thickness; I basically played the same parts twice.
The studio gear was a Mackie d8b board, Mackie HDR24/96 hard disk recorder, Mackie HR824 monitors, a couple of dbx compressor/gates, and a few decent mics. There were also two custom-built tube preamps that we used for vocals, snare, etc.

Thanks bro'. :) You are correct, that was the Steve's Special DiMarzio pickup.
That's actually two guys doing the singing and rapping. Our drummer raps while the bass player sings. Our drummer can also sing backup, and I also lend a hand there live. It's cool having three guys in the band doing double-duty, that way we can stay a 4-piece band. :)
We do a lot of nice three-part harmonies that shock people because they don't expect to hear a heavy band that raps and sings harmonies.

I liked Mary a lot. It has some instant appeal, and the vocal style is a little more hybrid than I'm used to hearing, it worked. I didn't like Lessons as much, I think the subject matter is a little overdone. Look forward to hearing what you get done in the future.
