It looks like my Cu24 is not going to sell so I've ordered a set of PRS Artist pickups to warm up the sound a bit. I was planning to buy another amp but it appears that finances may not allow me to do so for a while. So I'm looking for a pedal to get some overdriven Marshall sounds out of my Victoria 45410 (tweed Bassman). I've got a Fulltone Soul Bender but it doesn't quite do it and I've never liked Tube Screamers. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

You might check out one of the two Radial Tonebones.

Those sound samples are actually pretty impressive, from a tone perspective. Too bad I don't "believe" in pedal distortion... Unless of course cost-effective versatility is paramount - then I guess you do what you gotta do, eh?
Either way that pedal sounds pretty great.
I really like the Guvnor Plus into a clean amp. It's very authentic and best of all it's cheap!!

A good and affordabale distortion choice is the Pro Co RAT. I use an old one with my Traynor Bassmaster and it's great for a Marshall type distortion.

I use a Tonebone Hot British into a 59 Bassman RI...... Serious Marshall tone coming out of that amp!
