Hi guys,
Wondering if you could help me out here ?
I run my pedals from an SKB pedalboard which allows me to power six of them. One of the pedals is a Boss TU12 tuner, if this is powered from the board could I still get the Boss adapter to run more pedals or do I have to have the TU12 powered seperately from a Boss power supply to do this ?
If I'm gonna stick with valve amps and not go digital I was thinking of getting another delay and chorus for different settings to what I use now. I looked at the Line 6 delays and modulation pedals but there's lots of issues regarding power supplies with them, if you power them from a board they are known to malfunction ?
Cheers ...

Question: don't you mean the TU-2 (which is a pedal with a secondary power outlet)? The TU-12 is a regular handheld/inline chromatic tuner, surely?
The SKB PS-25 has a power output of 500 mA, plenty of power for more than 6 typical pedals, so I'd say yes, using the secondary power outlet from your (TU-2) tuner, along with a Boss PCS-20A parallel multi-way DC cord, you can feed more pedals (suggest you confirm their power consumption though).
As for your 2nd question, from what I read elsewhere, the Line 6 modelers consume about 1200mA @ 9VAC (or alternatively 300 mA @ 9VDC) — see the Related Answers links from this page: http://line6.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/line6.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3732
Important Note: it seems they use a connector where the centre pin is positive, i.e. reverse polarity to most other pedals, which suggests you'd need to buy their PX2 power supply.

Just as a side note, the TU-2 (and the NS-2) can not handle feeding power to pedals that consume a lot of it.
That is, if you have 5 digital pedals and want to run them all at the same time off the TU-2, you're going to have tone or noise issues.
This came straight from the mouth of Boss customer service department when I called to ask about the crappiness of the new OC-3.
Peace,

My immediate feeling is who's likely to want to run 5 effects simultaneously anyway? I know I don't! And if the TU-2/NS-2 issue is purely due to the Boss PSA-120 (or other small PSU brick) sagging under load, then the SKB PS-25 is hardly likely to have the same problem.
I'm almost tempted to dismantle my pedalboard and take apart the TU-2 just to see how the aux. power output is coupled to the input! I bet it's direct ...

Oh, I would put good money on that bet!

Cheers for the replies guys :dude:
I guess my tuner is the TU 2 pedal tuner ....DOH !!
The problem seems to be with the Line 6 pedals that is there is any drop or surge in the current they can switch off, lose settings etc so only Line 6 power supplies are recommended, no pedal boards and multi pedal power supplies like the Voodoo Lab etc.
At the most I would have my Boss OD 2 on at the same time as my chorus and delay, the overdrive would be powered seperately. So are you guys telling me I can link more pedals, it's just better not to have them all on at once ??

If you love your tone I would say stay away from large offshore effects companies. Living in the golden age of guitars I would stick with all analog effects i.e.-(zvex,fulltone,klon,and a few others) I might throw in some old MXR, maxxon, and some others reason being 1) high quaility parts. 2)customer support 3)pure sound, IMO. I made the mistake ($$$) of trying to go down that digital road. If you love the sound of your american made PRS keep it pure.
Good luck
