I'd like to make some short length cables for my new pedal board. Any suggestions on where to get it? So far my best source is buying another cable and cutting it up. Also.. has anyone had problems with those cheesey looking stamped steel 90 deg jacks?

I'd recommend the George L's kit. Works great for me.

George L's are cool because you can pretty much make any length you want. If cutting your own doesn't appeal to you, Voodoo Amps is introducing a new line of cables. The people who've tried and tested them say they are better than Monster Cables and are as good as Two Rock. I've ordered a bunch and they're making me a few different custom sizes...the most expensive one is a 20 footer for about 15 bucks. Be prepared to wait at least a week as this is a small shop and they are currently getting slammed with orders. You can check the site at:

Ditto...for pedalboards...I wouldn't recommend another.

I also use the moulded 6 inch right angled cables. You can buy them in packs from Maplins.

Just thought I'd give a followup report. I wired up the board last night and it could NOT have been any easier. No soldering or stripping wires. Plug it in and twist the cap. The other thing thats cool is the plugs are completely and painlessly reusable for different length cables for when the board reorganizes. Thanks for the heads up
