Winter gigs?

I'm in the northeast. It seems gigs are hard to find this time of year. With either band memebers being busy or the nightclubs being slow we only book about once every month or so. Does anyone else have this problem?

Not in the Hartford County/Springfield MA area where we gig. We tend to have the opposite issue, in that we are REAL busy in the winter, and we slow down a bit during the summer with regard to bar gigs, and focus on showcases and club dates. We had to turn down several dats for Feb since I've been on the mend following recent surgery.

Things are slow in Oregon until spring and summer. But then, we focus on the festival/fair type stuff so it stands to reason.
