You can't try out headphones that easily. So am after opinions on good quality headphones. I want them to plug into my Line 6 amp, Line 6 Bass pod, and my Boss BR 864 digital recorder. I would like a pair that can handle strong bottom end and the distortion of the high gain amp settings. Your advice on makes and models will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm searching for a decent pair myself. I've heard the Grados SR-60 & SR-80s are good. Also check out the Sony V6 (not V600) or 7506. These are all supposed to be good headphones for the $ under $100. You might also want to check out the Sennheiser 280s & AKG 240s.
I tried the Sennheiser HD280s & I found them to be very analytical sounding with less bass than the Sonys.
I've been told that open headphones are better for guitar playing while closed headphones are better for recording as they isolate outside noise.
