Anyone tried these guys? Prices are pretty nice if the strings don't suck.

They really don't. A Forumite turned me on to them a few months ago. I loaded my PRSi up with the 9-46's before my last gig. I'm quite pleased with them.

Cool, glad to hear it. My acoustic is need of new strings so I think I'll give them a try and grab a few sets for my electric at the same time.

learn something new everyday - thanks for the link!

I just bought a couple test sets - hope they work out (one more reason *not* to go to GC ;) )

If you ask me, the strings ARE Dean Markleys with different packaging, the feel, how long they last, I think they're the same thing. I've been using them for about a year or so. I buy 24 sets every couple months and I'm set. I've been wanting to buy a couple bass sets and try them too. I'm almost due for another order. I supplemented my order with 10 sets of MF .009's when they were on sale for $1.99 a set. I also plead guilty to re-selling sets for a slight profit to my friends when they can get to my house, but not a music store.

I've played every set they make for electric 6 string. All consistently good. I've played their lightest sets of phosphor bronze and 80/20 acoustic strings on my Ovation as well, and those are quite good too. I've bought over 100 packs from these guys in the past year. I won't buy strings elsewhere unless they're really cheap.

Update - I ended up buying a couple sets for acoustic and a couple for my electrics. Havent tried the ones for my electrics yet but I'm very happy with the set I put on my acoustic. I can't tell any difference form the typical brand name strings I use. If the electrics are as good I don't see myself using anything else in the future. I can get roughly 3 sets for what I've been paying for one. Can't beat that!

I put some on my SC Tuesday night for practice and they are different from the D'Addarios I'm used to - don't know how to describe them, they sound a bit brighter (or could just be from putting new strings on), the feel is definitely different - I'm not sure I like them, but it's the same with anything new - I need to get used to them.

And, since I bought 6 packs (9-46's for my SC, 9-42 for my CU24), I'll definitely give myself a chance to like them...
