 Inside or out. Natural or artificial light? I want to share some pictures of my gear with you all but cant seem to get the images to look like the actual guitars. My Custom 22 seems to be the hardest of all to get right. I notice some of you have got some great pictures posted and would like to do the same.
Any budding photographers have any tips?
Oh yeah, I have a Minolta Dynax SLR and a cheap-ish Kodak digital.
Thanks for the advice

On stage of course!
Actually, natural lighting really makes the maple tops 'pop'. I vote for outside when you can get good light. Even outside I sometimes use flash to fill in, too.

I find natural light is usually the best but sometimes the flash really brings out the top.
The first is natural light and the second is flash.

I take mine indoors with a couple of light bulbs shining on it, I adjust the white balance on the camera for the lighting and try and make sure they're not being reflected back.
Outside you pick up too much reflections (trees, and everything else behind the camera). Indoors you pick up a lot of reflection to, but you don't seem to get the high glare as outdoors.
Flash I've found just seems to burn out the photo as it's much too harsh in a burst.
If you're going to take pix outdoors, it's best if you do it when it's cloudy out.

increasing the sharpness in 'photoshop' improves my 'sh*tty' freebee digi cam a whole lot.
