...just looking for a few more telecaster fanatics here.

I'm sorry to say that my PRSi are getting fewer and fewer playing time, as i slowly realize that my Nocaster is perhaps the finest guitar i have...it's been played almost nonstop for the past few weeks, and i cannot put this thing down. It was originally a NOS, but could probably be classified as a closet classic as it's starting to show the fact that it's been played almost nonstop for quite a while now! :D

Who else here is lovin' their tele?

I have a Fender CS Tele Jr., more of a Gibson Jr. than a tele, actually. Set neck, all mahogany, P-90's, chambered body, 24 3/4" scale. This and my McCarty probably see the most play time. I also have a Frankentele with a Japanese butterscotch top load bridge body, a USA '52 reissue neck and EMG's.

Love my Teles to death. I have:

1) Lentz Ash with Maple board
2) Grosh Alder with Maple board, Fralin Unbucker / Steel Pole43
3) USACG Ash with John Suhr Maple/Pao Ferro board.
4) Lentz Ash with Rosewood coming in a few weeks.

Teles are the bomb !!

This belongs to my cousin, but possession is nine tenths of the law and she lives with me!

I am GASing for either Jamie's Tele plus or a Melacon Classic T in purple quilt!

I have a MIM Nashville tele that I picked up used for $250. I replaced all 3 pups with Suhr pups and replaced the wiring and pots with CTS pots. The tone pot is a push/pull that allows me to engage the bridge and neck pups together or all 3 pups at once. Great guitar!

Pics are in my signature.

I have one of these, too. Great guitar, but are you sure about that scale length? Mine's 25.5" -- I'm under the impression they all are.

Yeah, got two of 'em. Wonderful instruments both. One has two Strat pickups at neck and middle, with a traditional Tele bridge pickup; great combination. The other has two P-90s and a trem, which I keep locked down, but it adds that indefinable trem spring zing (Pat.Pend.).

Dan O,

I like your amp cart under the Bassman. Great idea! I need to build a couple of those for my 2x12 cabs!

actually, that was originally built for a Marshall DSL-401. Then, it fit under my ex-mesa rectoverb, so we used it for that. Now, it fits perfectly under the bassman! It's definately been a handy little feature, and it's really really easy to move around (and it was easy to make!). If you want, i can take more picture of it for you, and email them to ya! (there's no bottom to it, so it's featherweight, and can be transported from place to place with ease)

I have a beat up MIM Nashville Power Tele with the Fishman Piezo. Replaced the pickups with Kinman Broadcasters in the Neck and Bridge and put a Kinman SCn in the middle. It's one of my favorites. I've had an American Standard and a 52 RI, but for some reason, this one has a cool vibe to it. It's the only single coil guitar I own.

Ed (PRSOPHILE) came and dropped off his Thorn for me to play with for a couple of weeks, then he took it back and replaced it with a Fender CS Tele Jr.... and man it's awesome. I totally love it and can understand why Ed says it's his favourite axe (he apparently got 3). Well this Tele Jr is staying here with me, he's gonna have to pry it from my cold dead hands to get it back :D He's trying to get me interested in the new Aerodyne Tele which has a P90 at the neck, but I want his CS Tele Jr bad. :D

It's light and the P90's just sing!! He's got me gassing for one of them

I have a parts Tele that I picked up for $300 that has become one of my main axes. I was poking around in the control cavity one day and there was a phone number in there, so I called it. It was this old guy in SW Virginia in a weelchair who said he made the body. Real nice old guy. Claimed he made the body for Brent Mason's Tele, and was disapppointed he didn't mention it in his video.

There's nothing that makes you feel connected to wood and wire like a Tele.

I love teles; unfortunately, I traded my tele for a Hamer Mirage II recently, but I do anticipate picking up another tele in the coming year. Teles are, by far, the greatest recording guitars available - they really sit nicely in the mix without taking up too much sonic space.

As soon as I get the Thorn ordered, I'm going to pick up a Tele.

Now we got to see a pic of them. Nothing like an old Tele, IMO.

I love the Tele's lead p'up. Talk about bite.:D

Another Telephile here...
I have owned one consistently for the past 5-6 years.
Currently, I have a Fender CS '61 Closet Classic Tele.
Alder body, rosewood board, vintage tele pups, big 3 neck w/ 6105 frets.
Seafoam with all that lacquer checking. Let me put on my Hawaiian shirt, my khaki shorts and sandles...fire up the Carr Rambler...and ramble!
The drummer in my fusion band calls it my 'smelley tele'.
Drummers! :D

I have been on a Tele kick for about 3 months now. I bought a Variax 500 to try and stem the tide of the Tele GAS... and it worked until a couple of weeks ago when I picked up my friend's Squire Tele. Again, I had a blast playing it!

Perhaps I will buy a MIM Tele for my birthday. I have been admireing the midnight wine MIM Teles lately. :)

Peace,
Aldwyn
