Hi,

Anyone know anything about or ever use the PowerTracks Pro Audio for recording guitar stuff?

I am putting together a recording computer. It will be designated for recording only. I have been researching software and interfaces and trying to decide which systems to use. It is going to be a sketch-pad for recording some tracks at home. I am not interested in gobs of gear for thousands of dollars. I want to record simple stuff.

For a while I was using Band-in-a-Box on a laptop that died. I was trying to learn BiaBox before moving into loading the PowerTracks recording software, but the laptop went belly up before then. When I got the BiaBox setup it came with PowerTracks Pro Audio version 7 for recording.

Anyone know much about this? Is it decent? If it would be ok, I don't want to go buy more software. At least not initially. If the PowerTracks sucks, then I might buy a different setup.

I was thinking of getting the Lexicon Omega Desktop, comes with an interface and software, but the PowerTracks seems like it has some nice stuff. Maybe I should use it and just buy a decent interface. What interface would be ok?

Any input is helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Bob Long
