Best gig ever?
For me it would have to be Milwaukee Metalfest in '01. The whole thing was just totally crazy and out of control. My band played right after a pretty well known act so the crowd was nicely warmed up for us. We had an open stage policy, as long as people stay away from the equipment, and it was used heavily. I don't think a minute went by after our second song that there weren't at least three people not in the band yet still on stage at any given moment. Girls got up there to do some grinding on the band and the mic stands and such, I think one may have been in porn. She was signing autographs a while later.
To top it all off we got a distribution deal on the spot based on our performance.
Those were the days, now I'm "too old" to play in a metal band and carry around two full stacks to gigs. I'll still drink all the free beer I can get though.
