Hate to do two days in a row anyway, but I'm here, it's not done ... so what the heck. I'll get the ball rolling.

I had a bran muffin. It was there. That's it. It sucked. Tasted like an amalgamation of sawdust and spiderwebs. I wonder what year it was made. Wait. I wonder what century it was made. I'm too lazy to carbon date it to find out, and I'm too lazy to make myself something good for lunch that will take away from playing time. The muffin-fossil was easy and quick. Easy and quick is good and leads to more playing time not doinking with food.

Hope you lady(s) and gentlemen had a fine meal for lunch today that inspired you. I for one would sure like to hear about it.

best,

sterling

I walked down the hall to the bakery in my building -- the bakery equivalent of an excellent microbrewery -- and picked up a baguette, which I brought home and sliced and toasted with sliced granny smith apples & irish cheddar cheese. Sides were dill pickles and carrots, with a half-and-half limeade & cranberry juice.

Here's my question for the day: how many of y'all can go home for lunch? I live about a short par 4 from my office and I walk home for lunch most days.

Couple of croissants and a cup of tea today.

Today, working in my music room/office in my slippers. If I'm not on a client site somewhere, I'm usually at home.

looks like this lunch report has lost interest...

I had Five Guys for lunch today. Best Burger on the east coast! The only burger better is In and Out but we don't have those over here on the East side.

I probably could drive home for lunch, but I've learned the hard way that when I do that, I get distracted by so many different things, that my hour lunch turns into a 3 hour break that I have to make up some time later.

Went to Subway and got a Oven Roasted Chicken sub. It was sufficient. Not bad, but I wouldn't order it again. Only inspired me to return to my semi-coherent state here at work.

No way can I make it home at lunch. I live about 20 miles away and it takes 35 minutes to get between there and work on a good day. There was a few years when I was still at my parents where I had a close job. I loved coming home for lunch. So relaxing.

Tuna salad on multigrain. Fat-free chips and picante sauce. Diet Coke.

I almost always brown-bag it - home is just far enough away from work to make it inconvenient.

bryanrheem (member.php?u=95), I suspect the lunch report is just resting. ;)

Wow, KinsleyD. That sounds fantastic. I hereby salute your lunch.

Well, I made myself 2 tuna mayo sarnies again - but it was the crust of bread - double crust sandwich ..not great. i spent more on fishing bait than on my own food today.

I can get home and cook myself something in my lunch hour ..that's great I must admit.

I'm a bridge toll and 15 min. from home. So no. Not worth it in Gas (Petrol) and bridge fare.

Today, I had my "Destress Lunch"

Local BBQ Trailor. Mmmm.....Spareribs and Brisket with Potato salad and bread. And I DIET Pepsi.....like that makes it all better. :D

My usual, turkey and cheese sandwich. I was feeling frisky so I had some potato chips too (Herr's). And a diet Dr. Pepper.

I eat at home almost every day. My drive to the office is less than 10 minutes of pure road rage. Lunchtime is when I pleasure read and bond with the dog. And work my aggression out on SUV's and the idiot midget girl drivers from New Jersey.

My wife's wonderful chilli (made with scotch bonnet chillis, just luvverly)

How do you define "work"? If I'm working then, it's sarnies at 30000ft, if I'm on standby well I eat at home, normally while playing guitar and waiting for the phone to ring.

Sadly, it's summer, so not many standby's this time of year, but plenty of wedge!

A dozen pizza rolls.

After being away from home for the better part of two years, I'm quite happy to say that I'm home from work at around noon every day. So yeah, I go home for lunch every day.
