Greetings. I am on the verge of getting my first PRS. I have a Black Singlecut with Gold hardware on Layaway at Sam Ash. I've played almost every major USA made brand now. I spent 45 minutes with that singlecut through a Mesa Mk IV and a Fender Twin. I'll be damned if that guitar doesn't sound better than anything I've ever tried. The neck shape took me a few seconds, as I usually go for something more like the Gibson "60's neck". But once I got comfortable it was a lot of fun playing that guitar. I had to have it.

As for my current gear, I own a Rickenbacker 360, a Hamer Artist, a Gibson Explorer and a 1969 Gibson SG Special. I see the SC as a nice addition to the collection. Although I must admit, I've been wanting to get CE22 for awhile, I've seen a few nice ones.

I see a CE22 in your future, especially if you hang around here for awhile;).

That SG and that Rick, those were the "dream guitars" for me. Back in 1994 I discovered the Who. Townshend is a huge influence to me. The Rick is because of Peter Buck of R.E.M. Who proved many years ago you don't need to know 50 million scales to be a great sounding guitarist.

Since we're showing off a little, check out the '69 SG:

Yes, I do get the Hendrix quote alot, about a couple times a week.

Like I said, the SC will be mine very soon. First comes the credit card bills.

I've been a fan of the Who since 1966, got almost all of their music, vinyl, cds, dvds + their autographs on a copy of the My Generation album, signed by them on 31st Jan 1966 for my wife to be. Bit sad, I have even got a couple of books documenting all their concerts

Your SG special looks nice and original.

Here's a little update for you. I put some more money down on my SC. Now it's down to $800 left. The plan is to have it out in 3 or 4 weeks or so.

In the meantime. For my fellow fans of killer "no-frills" guitars. Here's my current #1. My Hamer 25th Anniversary Artist.

I'm sure no explanations are necessary on this one.
