Hi All,
I have a custom 22 with McCarty switching that I bought recently. Its a 98 and someone had mucked about with the electrics, fitting an Alnico pro3 in the neck position, and adding a preamp 'lil red booster'.
As soon as I got it, I set about returning it to standard (the original Dragon2 pickup and gold covers being supplied) and added a push pull coil tap, removing the pre amp and associated electrics(resistor).

Guitar sounds great now but the tone capacitor was changed as part of the mod so does anyone know the standard tone Cap value for this guitar (the one that is in it is too harsh).
I think it could be 5 or 2 nF but I am not sure.
Anyway..
Here's a pic of it for fun!..

Jon-

I don't have the slightest clue, but I would forward this message to the "Tech Talk forum" Jim Collins lurks there regularly and he is a pro. He has helped me with all my electronics issues.

The tone cap PRS uses is .022uF. The treble bypass cap PRS uses is 180pF -- this is the one between the hot and wiper lugs, on the volume pot.
