Chicken Burger with a side salad and a soy latte.
Popped into a record store and managed to buy a few great "as new" LP's, and spotted and grabbed a 'Not for Sale - demonstration only' radio copy of two tracks from Jeff Beck's Flash Album as a 12 inch 33.3 rpm single. At the same time, also got two Rory Gallagher Albums, both live albums.
Topic for today - Odd Ball Vinyl that you snappled up recently...

I work for the city of Ft Worth Texas/Public Events and the Public Library brought in ALL their old stuff from books to records for a HUGE sale. Well long story short everything that didn't sell we got for free. Well, naturally I headed STRAIGHT to the old records. I got a Ted Nugent, Styx "Pieces of Eight"...LOL, April Wine "The Nature of the Beast", Boz Skaggs "Silk Degrees", Elton John "Here and There" starring Nigel Olsson drum work, Billy Joel "The Stranger", Billy Squire "Don't Say No", and INXS "Listen Like Thieves". I wouldn't spend money on a few of those but since they were free I thought SWEET! lol

Ok cool, now I know what a haul is.
A couple years after my grandfather died, my grandmother decided to move into a smaller house and told me to go through her old records and take what I wanted. I got every single Chet Akins record ever put out!! I started recording them all and putting them onto CD but it just took SOOOO long to do that I dropped the project. I need to finish it.

mixed salad and salmon - light lunch today (btw I thought it was great to see this thread started by breakfast time here in Madrid - looks good on our BaMers "Down Under" :dude:
Recent LP purchases include a special edition 180g pressing of Billy Idol's "White Wedding", and the first "Great Southern" LP (Dickey Betts sounds great on that one). That's it for now.

Lunch will be some sort of sandwich, soon.
Haven't bought any LPs for a long time but I did actually hook up my turntable for the first time in ages.
Listened to Robert Fripp's "Exposure", then realized the left channel was out.:( Have to see what the problem is. There are a couple hundred LPs in boxes waiting to be rediscovered - I better get it working soon!

leftover hamberger and hotdogs from yesterday. i prefer not to talk about vinyl. i traded all my vinyl away about 1994 for some choice "nugs". what a dumbass move that was!! i had original pressings of machine head(deep purple), band on the run(wings), and worst of all dark side of the moon! oh well, i guess we've all done stupid things. wait.....that gives me a great thread idea!!!

Shredded Beef burger and coffee.
Not really vinyl, but it sorta is. I snagged "The song remains the same" on DVD last week. I have the highest respect for Mr. Page's songwriting ability. But as a guitar player, his performance on this DVD is just horrendous!
Anybody interested in a DVD that was played once?

i agree with you about the song remains the same. the dvd to get was the double one that had performances spanning 1970 to 1979. my jaw dropped to the floor when i watched that one!!

Led Zeppelin's "TSRtS" had me convinced that they were to be listened to only based on what came from the studio. Everything on that DVD garated on me - sloppy playing and singing, terrible guitar tones, shoddy mixing, etc...
OTOH, the "How The West Was Won" CD and the DVD from the same period made up for all of that IMHO. What a pity that their live performance capability was so poorly represented during all of that time prior to last year's releases.
