I got a Br1180CD that I never have really used. However I understand the basics.

I wanted to live record my bands practice sessions. The question gets to be with editing the track. To record, basically I just put one mic in the room and record the entire practice into track one. Then I burn it too the CD.

Question - How do I edit what I have, to get rid of the material I do not want? Is there software available that I could upload the file to my computer and then edit the file thus , ending up with only the music that I want?? Or can I erase parts of a track via marking positions etc right on the BR1180 Hard drive.

The obvious is to turn the recorder on and off after songs during practice, thus not recording the downtime, the only problem is that I like to record everything - you never know when an idea will come up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

RickYou can put markers on either side of the segment you want to erase and just delete it. I don't have my unit with me right now, but consult the manual--it is easy to do. In your case it is really easy because it is only a single track you are using.
