Anyone played through Fuchs amp yet? I have a good friend who just bought the 100 watt head and he swears by it. Even traded in his much-beloved Bogner head. I got the word through my PRS rep that Mr. PRS himself is very enamored with these amps as evidenced by the amp's appearance in the PRS booth at the NAMM Show.
Any thoughts?

I have a ODS-100, and it is a killer amp. If you go to the Gear Page and do a search you will find quite a number of posts that will probably answer many of your questions.

Paul was/is very impressed by the amps according to all reports. Having one in the booth at NAMM is quite a feather in Andy Fuchs' cap. Personally I own a tweed ODS 50 and 1x12 cabinet, and a Fuchs ODS modded Fender DRRI. I also have another Fuchs ODS 50 (EL-34) and 1x12 on order. FOR MY EAR and for the tones I'M looking for it doesn't get any better. My modded DRRI is great for a grab and go jam/practice amp, it gets about 80-85% of the production tone/vibe. But NOTHING compares to the production stuff. Beautiful cleans, and a lush, smooth gain. I play rocking blues, and classic rock and have people at every gig asking about these amps. If you're local, you're welcome to come by and check 'em out.

Love 'em!! EL34s are my favorite flavor. Some feel that the OD is "too smooth" but it is perfect as far as I'm concerned. You can never have too many Fuchsen around the house....
I sold my Shiva after I got my first Fuchs and never looked back. The Shiva is a great amp but the Fuchs is perfect.

Only thing bad about a Fuchs is the price, but if you're patient you can get a deal. I went with a Traynor/Fuchs modded head and got it for less than half of what the production models are going for. I have that and a Fuchs 2x12 and only $1400 invested. :) Clean to crunchm it'll do it all. I am very, very happy with the rig, and even happier about what I paid!

Now THAT'S an endorsement!

The tone I get when running a Fuchs, Shiva and Lone Star thru a vooddo amp switcher at the same time is amazing. I run a wet signal thur the Fuchs with a little delay and use very little reverb on the Shiva and Lonestar all on the clean channel, Just Stunning. Carl, you should have hung on to that Shiva.

Has anyone had Fuchs modify a Mesa ( or knows some one who's had one done)? I like my MKIII but i think i'd like the EQ to be a bit more flexable and maybe a little smoother gain wise?

Devine...mod is kind of a misnomer for what Andy does to a "donor amp"! All that's left of the original is the box, chasis, transformers and tube sockets...
Andy then puts in his own prewired board with all new circuts and components.
He's limiting his mods to a few popular models that he has found provide a finished product that he is happy with. I know Fenders and Traynors are included but don't know about Mesas.
SB...I may own another Shiva some day, although this time it will be a head. Honestly though, in the near future I'll probably be selling amps as opposed to buying! The two Fuchs modded Traynors (6550s in one and EL34s in the other) and the Two Rock modded Princeton have spoiled me big time!!

Your right about head thing if you need to move it around. I lugged mine into the studio and it hasn't moved. I just ordered a 4x12 Bogner cab from the Pusher. Gonna, put the cab in the drum room with the other big cabs and keep the combo in the control room. Then I go can both ways depending what I am doing. Most guys buy a Shiva after selling theirs at some point it seems.
