Yes, just got on layaway a very nice DC-5 a la Maverick, with a electro voice speaker for just 650... I can believe it, is one of the newer models and the "crunch" channel is so tick and nice... now I understand why so manny people want to get this as a footswitch option... wow, great loud, heavy little amp...

Enjoy mate, the DC5 is indeed a fantastic amp.
I like the clean channel the best although the gain channel is wicked with a bit of push from a Boss OD2 pedal.
The only gripe I've got is that it's a wee bit too loud  :( :dude:

They are great amps. I recently sold my Tophat Emplexador, as my current band plays some hard rock/metal material, and ended up going with a DC-5 head and Mesa 2-12 Recto cab w/matching gold grills. Nice cleans, and all the gain I could want for the heavy stuff we play. BTW, I'm new here..Some may know me from Harmony Central or The Gear Page.

I really liked the DC 5 I had a few years ago. I especially liked overdrive tone with the mids cranked on the clean channel. Killer :dude:

What I love about mine, is it has a gold grill, unlike most of the all black ones out there. I have a matching 2-12 w/a gold grill, and searched high and low for another 2-12 Recto cab w/a gold grill. I just found a dark blue one w/a gold grill, so it should work out pretty good. Any pics of your Tan DC-5?

Sorry no pictures yet, but is in a very good shape. I love my Maverick and the first thing to notice on the Mavericks were the tan color as standard, when I first saw the amp I though it was a Mark IV since I always wanted to have one and better if it looks in tan, but I once I found it was a DC-5 in custom color with a Electro Voice I decided to gave it a try and found out the great tones everypne is talking about. When the DC-series come out years ago I wanted a DC-10 but was too much for me, now I'm happy with this little guy, I will get it on 2 months since at this moment am about to get a new '59 RI bassmant LTD... I was not planing on this amp it was plain luck to get it at a good price:D
