View Full Version : How many people think the Sites should Co-exist, Peacefully?

I am registered on prsforums.com as well as here and I do not think that both boards should be fighting. It is a free country and anyone that has had a board, knows it is a lot of time and energy. It also provides just one more cool place for me to hang and talk about guitars.
Instead of spending so much time on figuring out who everyone is, why not spend that time and talk about guitars?
Let's try to enjoy this site, the prsforums.com site, the Gear Page's site and any other guitar boards that come up in the future's sites. There are too few boards that cover this broad topic range of guitars in general to fight about.

I wasn't aware there was a war going on.

There's not. Just some temporary anoyances.

I don't see why there couldn't be a thousand forums all on the same topic. I'll hang out where I feel most comfortable.

What Chiba said.
Hang where you wanna hang.
'nuff said.

I'm not aware of any ongoing issue/fight between forums and even if there were we certainly don't want to bring it here. There are/will be however many forums related to whatever. Two things will determine the outcome of a forum, the leadership and the membership. Pick the place(s) you want to hang and do it.

Any mention of a "war" is a red herring.
Find the folks you like to hang and talk to and do so. No problems, no issues.

Mr. Scary,
I edited your poll/choices. I deleted the two that were unrelated to your actual question and also becasue they may advocate flame wars etc. We do not advocate or tolerate flame wars of any type whether they are between member, forums or moderators.

Gee whiz. I was thinking that we could have a forum event/rumble. The BAM crew against DH's crew.
Guess we'll just have to maintain our regional get-togethers. :)

You can find me here or at The Gear Page or the Thorn Discussion Page.
Unless someone is into British Cars, then you may run into me at The MG Enthusiasts website (especially the MGB V8 section).

Who cares HOW many forums there are? The public will decide which are good and live and which are lame and die.
What I wish would stop is the constant recruiting of BaM members on the BaM forum. Everyone knows the other ones exist and they'll go there if they choose.
To use BaM as a means to try to recruit away members (who have a finite amount of time to spend on boards) is poor showmanship at best.

There could be 500 forums for all I care - I just pick the one I feel most comfortable about, and FWIW that's decided by intelligent posts, forumite interaction and closeness.
What does that mean to me? I'll stick with where I'm posting now... *grin*

It's a good thing, as Devo once noted.

Nicely said, Dave. I guess the choice is clear. Dude!
I sincerely hope there are even more PRS discussion sites on the net. I know which one is home for me. And the main reason is not PRS guitars.

How many people think the Sites should Co-exist, Peacefully? I don't. I think people from one site should go on the other and repeatedly post a bunch of stuff just to stir up trouble, then air their concerns with moderators, and then start telling em who to ban. Peaceful coexistance is for the birds.

I'm with Tom. Let's call in airstrikes and flame each other until nothing living remains. That makes sense.
