I'm thinking of replacing two pedals with one. I really like my Boss Digital Delay but I'm not all that taken with my Boss Super Chorus. Can anyone offer an opinion on the H20?

You know, I looked at these for a while and I was turned off at some point by reading that there was a re-occuring problem with them. Maybe not even a problem, just an "Achilles Heal".
I'll try and dig up what I found on them.

The one I have works great and the chorus is very nice and full.
The delay is analogue sounding but is also quite subtle as it doesn't do huge repeat loops but for general use is Ok.
It is also very quiet.
I got mine off e-bay for $180 and I am very happy with it.

Andrew, I've thought about doing that a million times myself, I'm not all that taken with the BOSS stuff either, that's why I went back to my rack unit.
I've always wondered how that unit sounds, it's a great idea, 2-in-1.

Try one out for a while before you buy it.
It's a good sounding unit, no problems with noise, etc., yet it didn't work for me. I couldn't get the basic character of its sound to work well in the context of my music; I don't know if it needed more controls over its various parameters, or if it was just one of those things that happens with gear. Works for some, not for others.
Who knows?

I have seen Lauren Ellis use one live twice; it is a very big part of her sound. And it is a beautiful sound for her gig (country/rock/pop). I have been tempted, but don't use delay so much anymore and absolutely adore the Fulltone Choralflange so haven't felt the need to change.

I love mine - replaced my BOSS pedals, the older analog chorus & delay then the newer digital chorus & delay. The chorus is as sweet as anything you've heard. The delay is more focused toward shorter repeats, but you can get some nice slapback.
The controls are very simple and I like that. My only complaint is that the battery cover sticks way out so if you want to mount it on a pedalboard you have to kind of finagle the velcro stuff - I just removed the feet & the cover and had at it.
And not to speak out of turn, but you should be able to find one new for less than $180 with no problems. I paid a good bit less than that for mine.

I got one after hearing/seeing Ralph Perucci with Paul's band. I really like it a lot. It is definitely different than the sound of the BOSS Super Chorus I used to have, but in a good way. The delay is cool, although I don't use it a lot.
Added bonus: Made right here in the Volunteer State!

Not to derail your thread or anything, and I hear good things on the H2O (and have wanted on in the past)...
But, if a really good chorus is what you're looking for, Andrew,I have an Ibanez RC99 available. It's a really nice analog chorus... And cheaper than all the other options (including the H2O).
OK, done spamming. Sorry...

I've had my H2O for almost two years now, and couldn't be happier. As everyone has stated, the delay is more subtle than some others, but I use it for a nice slapback effect. Contrary to the prevailing opinions on here, I perfer the chorus sound to that of the Fulltone. I have two other Fulltone pedals which I love, but when I tried the ChoralFlange, I really had a hard time understanding what all the fuss is about.
The two pedals in one idea is a stroke of genius.

Add me to the list of folks who consider this pedal a keeper.
Andrew, I don't have the strength left to type out yet again a full explanation of why I like this pedal. If interested, email me your phone number and I'll be happy to call ya and explain.

I've had one for what must be near 3 years now. Gigged with it some, loaned it out to another gigging player for a while too. Good pedal and good value.
FWIW, my original had some switch and LED problems, I contacted the owner (long since forgot his name) who is on the other coast of Florida, he sent me another. Nice guy, good service.
