Sorry if this is kinda of mess. It's a cool sounding weeping lick with a little pentatonics thrown in. If your a Zakk Wylde fan it's the intro to the Cry me a river solo.

My boy Duhg (Doug Lewis) and I will be there.

My bro-in-law is even flying from Montreal to catch that show! He's a big fan, and BLS doesn't seem to get to Canada much.

What part of the cities are you in? If your ever around the lake Minnetonka area, there's a place called the Narrows, (they have one in Maple grove too) Thay have this open jam with all these old black cats. You have to play strictly blues though. They really taught me to slow down. I feel like my cu24 is being possesed by Robert Johnson. That's all thats been coming out of me as of late. Thae devil hasn't shown up though to offer me a deal......Yet

I'm right in Maple Grove!
But I don't have publicly displayable blues-playing skills...

Hey, I'm in Plymouth. You should check it out sometime. It's on Sunday nights in Maple Grove. I just started with a 12 bar blues thing in E with three different turnarounds. They have differnt hosts Maple Grove so I don't know about the house bands there, but the guy in Navare is really supportive of all abilitys.

Thanks SF!

I dig these licks...

I used to use them to mock the pedal steel in an old George Jones tune my band used to play...

He kept her letters by his bed
Dated ninteen sixty two
And underlined in red
Was every single "I love you".

Peace,
Aldwyn

The greatest country song ever written. IMHO :D

("He Stopped Loving Her Today" - George Jones)

2nd best.

Right behind "Mama Tried"

Love them steel licks too. If you're into learning more, try to find the David Grissom Hot Licks video. Awesome, and shows them in a blues and rock context.
