Has anybody heard anything about the progress or resolution of Alex's New Year's Eve "problem" in Florida???

Not a thing, I had almost forgot about it. You know if the charges were dropped it probably wouldn't be reported. Sometimes it seems they only report the bad stuff that happens to stars.......

It takes many weeks and/or months for charges like this to come to fruition. Granted, it's not as serious as Kobe Bryant's, but his trial will be at the earliest around March or April, but I believe he opted to have it AFTER the season, a full year after the alleged incident. Even without that option, it's an eight or nine month lag time. How'd you like to not be rich, and spend that time in the hoosegow?
Ray Lewis had to do two or three months awaiting his (maybe it was more?)
The state needs to build a case. I believe there are Rush tour dates on the schedule for the summer, not sure what that means.

I last read that they were doing an investigation, and the authorities asked the public to be patient because so many devoted Rush fans were making noise about this...I was thinking that possibly they might negotiate some resolution-- short of a trial. I was wishfully thinking that possibly somebody would have heard some word on this...........
By the way, from all that I have seen, Alex seems like a really nice, thoughtful guy. so, I hope that this goes away without causing him too much trouble.
It must be really hard not to react strongly when your son is being arrested forcefully, especially if you are a bit toasted on New Year's Eve. I can only imagine how I might react in a similar position...........Of course, I doubt that my son would ever jump on stage and interrupt some performer's act.
(I feel sorry for Alex and hope it comes out OK, but I want to blame his drunken doofus of a son, for starting this ugly chain of events)
