Further to psxguru's question about 9.5s here is a scheme I have concocted for some of my guitars:
Problem: I like 10s on some guitars but the plain strings wear my fingers out.
Solution: Take 1 x 44-9.5 set, take 1 x 46-9 set and swap the plains over.
You then get a 46-9.5 set and a 44-9 set (which I use on guitars that previously had 42-9s). :)

I've done that exact same thing in the past with my Rosey McSoapy STD. I like 10s on it, but don't get enough playing time for my fingers to take the punishment.

I wish someone would make us a Lite top/heavy bottom set using the plains from the 9.5s!
